Upon entering the traditional oil mining in the village Wonocolo, Kedewan district, East Java, the hot sun stung. Among the teak trees sound roar of a diesel engine modified to be used as a pulley and lowered attractive metal pipe to draw Crude Oil from the bowels of the earth, with a depth of up to 300 feet.
As far as the eye could see there was a oil well that is still using human power. On top of a hill five miners were pulled iron pipes tied with rope Wire (wire rope), they ran down the hill, pulling the wire rope to an iron pipe which contains crude oil in the well lifted up.
The distillation of crude oil in the form of diesel fuel they sell at a price of Rp. 600 thousand per drum (230 liters). Very ironic when a village that has become the oil fields for decades, its economy is not increasing living standards. For the miners in the district Kadewan world crude oil prices no one can be proud, in fact they do not feel the increase in the price of the tambangannya.
